    considering people behave like this just over freaking sales at stores, it's no wonder the Army assigned the 3rd Infantry's 1st brigade (and other units) to NorthCom for patrolling within the United States for crowd control purposes...(god forbid any massive riots occur due to decaying economic conditions within our borders)...

    I wonder if this is an antiquated concept. If someone makes 42k a year, do they really have to spend 7-10K on a ring? I don't think so. You can get a VERY nice ring for 3-5K that is 3/4 of a carat.

    Yeah, it is an expensive ring. I just am making the point that even if you want to spend and get a really nice ring, 2-3 months salary is NOT necessary in most cases. Of course I am still a student and make nothing really.

    Many engagement rings will run 1-2 grand though.
