Won't be going there often.
I don't get it.. Are you working in 801 grand?
I recommend Palmers in the Kaliedoscope, The foodcourt upstairs in the Kaliedoscope (handful of choices), El Azteca, South Union Bread, Pablos (quick mexican, cash only, but one of my faves. about $6-7 gets you a meal including a drink). Rock River in the Marriott is decent as they have an all you can eat buffet.
You can also get to Court Ave via the skywalk, and Spaghetti Works is relativey quick for lunch.
Hopefully that gives you a decent idea. I eat out often for lunch in downtown, so if you need any more recommendations, let me know.

I don't think it's all that great. $8 or $9 for BBQ that Hickory Park, Famous Daves, or Battles would put shame to.

Centro is a nice place too. It's by the Temple of Peforming Arts and ING. It's not too pricey, but is a more elegant atmosphere (if you're going on a date, or trying to go somewhere "nice" with coworkers)..

From living in Minneapolis and working in Downtown Des Moines, Minneapolis' skyway system is much more extensive and a lot better.

I'll second Winston's, that's a fun place.

Re: Downtown Skywalk
I don't know what the food court is called but it's the place below the old Younkers building. There is a place there that serves a good spicy gryo.
Cash only

The lines there can eat up your lunch hour if you don't call in advance or somehow manage to beat the rush. Another vote for South Union. Plus they deliver.

I like Smoky D's, El Azteca (Capital Square), Pablo's Tacquiria (love the choriso burrito), and the Thai place in the Kaliedoscope. Something Italian is good as well.

Re: Downtown Skywalk
A couple of places I WOULD NOT recommend
Burger King (I've never eaten there)-Just walk by the place and see what kind of customers are in there.
Chinese Buffet place-Near Bank of America branch. Very bad
