GREAT STUFF.
My band played the open house of the distillery after they added on. Stuff is selling like hotcakes.

yeah. It is good. I've decided to send it to some of my clients as Christmas presents. It's a local product. Something they wouldn't find in their part of the country. Kind of unique. I thought it would make a good gift.

Michael Killmer (AKA “Catfish”) has spent many years in the hospitality industry before and after attending Iowa State University. He is the Brand Manager at Templeton Rye and chances are, if you’ve ever been poured a sample of The Good Stuff, Michael was the one tipping the bottle.
Michael’s pride and joy is his yellow lab Dixie, who Michael trained as a stellar hunting companion. When he is not introducing the world to Templeton Rye, Michael is fond of hunting, Cyclone athletics, wine and gourmet cooking.

I have had moonshined templeton rye, (not made by the company, but still made nearby) and that stuff'll darn near eat the paint off of the highway. it serves its purpose well, however.

I also have the moonshine brand straight from Templeton and it is the greatest whiskey I have ever drank! (I grew up just south of Manning - about 15-20 miles from Templeton).
On a side note, I was going through my grandfathers affects a few years back and came upon a bottle of it that was at least 50-60 years old and was now clear. So, to prove a point, I started a lawn mower with it! Now, I drink it! Great stuff!
And yes, the distillers are Iowa fans! But I don't hold that against them!

I remember the commercial for it on the radio, they were talking about how great it goes with Hawkeye football.
It is good, but y'all need to try Pappy Van Winkle's Kentucky Bourbon(like my pic below), its much, much better. I have a bottle of 10 and 15 year family reserve. I hate whisky, but the wife got me a couple of bottles and they are liquid gold.

Templeton Rye is great stuff. Between that and Old Main, I could drink Iowa booze for the rest of my life, and never get tired of it... Speaking of moonshine, my buddy's uncle who lives up by hometown in north iowa used to make homemade wine that was about 50-60 proof. The problem was it tasted like sweet wine, with a little extra alcohol, but it was almost on par w/whiskey for strength.

Hell yes. It's just another reason Iowa is such a great place... I always support support a quality local product over an average national/big brand one...
