Vicks Vapor Rub new cough remedy?

So has anyone been hearing this latest thing about how you can cure a cough by putting Vicks vapor rub on your feet at night and also wearing socks and this cures the cough? Heard something on the radio this morning and all kinds of people have been calling in lately about how great this is. One guy even claimed it cured some kind of tingling sensation he was getting in his leg at night.

Seems like a strange thing but if you google search you'll find all kinds of stuff on it too.

I've heard of it, we do it with my son sometimes, don't know if it helps but it can't hurt, anything to get him to sleep better when he's sick.

We've tried it with our kids and we seem to think it works. You have to put it on pretty thick though. I've never tried it on myself.

I think we heard about it a couple years ago.

absorbs through the skin between the toes, friend of mine works construction and put copenhagen pouches between his toes since hes not allowed to spit tobacco, he claims you get the same buzz as in your mouth

i've heard these too.. I've also heard that if you rub garlic between your toes and on your feet you can taste it in twenty minutes.. haven't tried it but just what i heard, honestly

Yeah, you're right... There's no possible way for the stuff to get through the impermeable barrier of cotton.

I remember when I was a kid with a bad cough getting a "Hot Toddy" from the old man. Which was nothing more than a shot of Crown Royal and sugar. I remember it tasting horrible, but I sure did sleep good. Anyone else remember those remedies? Would a parent go to joil for that these days?
