Car Question
No, not a question about buying one.
My '02 Taurus's wiper fluid is not working. I left it in the 40 degree garage all night so I'm sure its not frozen.
I don't hear the little motor running when I try to get some out, so is it possible there's a fuse burnt out?
Kind of a rough day to not have wiper fluid.

Re: Car Question
If you can't hear the pump then it is probably either a fuse or the little pump motor is fried. Check you fuses and then make sure the wires going to it are not cut. Maybe take the power plug off the pump and see if the contacts are clean.

Re: Car Question
I had the same problem and it was that mine was frozen solid... I would think if it's frozen, 40 degrees isn't going to thaw it overnight. Not sure on that though.
I had to remove the reservoir and thaw it on it's own...

Re: Car Question
Sometimes when you get it serviced, especially in the Summer, they put washer fluid that is not meant for cold temperatures, it freezes easily. This may be your problem.
If not, you are probably looking at a fuse, short, or the pump has issues.

Re: Car Question
Yes it is full. I will try the reservoir to see if it is frozen in there.

Re: Car Question
Even if it's frozen solid you should still hear the pump motor, so I would bet credits it's either a fuse or the motor.

I had a ford do the same thing, looked under the hood, and the plugin that connects to that motor wasn't plugged in all the way, check that. I also had the motor burnout and had to get a new one.

Re: Car Question
I had the same problem, fluid froze, motor froze. I let it thaw in the garage for 2 days. Now it is fine, it will get warm in a few days, if you can stick it out, let it thaw, use a turkey baster to get the old fluid out and put new non-freezable stuff in, I think you should be fine.

Re: Car Question
The reservoir was frozen. Got it out of there and thawed out. Motor was not running, but does now with reservoir thawed out and it works fine.
Thanks for the advice.
