I drove the kids to school this morning, and the roads are fine in Phoenix.

Glad to hear the big storm passed you over. I was getting worried -

Funny how we get 6" of snow we all drive to work normally except for driving a bit slower. But imagine what Arizona, Florida or California people would do if they got this much snow. The town would be shut down for days.

I'm driving from Muscatine to Urbandale tonight. What's I-80 like? I hear the roads are pretty wet...should I leave early before the temp drops and stuff starts to freeze?

Re: Anyone drive today yet?
I have relatives visiting that don't own a four wheel drive vehicle. I have to tow their car with my 4 x 4 truck otherwise they couldn't make it up my half mile drive to my house. But this is in Northwest Colorado where the days it snows are the norm and the days that it doesn't snow are freakish.

I consider it funny how you make an issue out of 6" of snow, considering all the posts on this topic. If I look out the window this time of year and it isn't snowing, that is what I consider freakish.

I second this request. I need to drive from Ames back to Iowa City, via 35 and 80. I really want to do it today, but only if I can be home by 5:00 or so. There is no way I'm driving on those roads at night.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.
