I just got off the phone for the third time with Mediacom because my cable box fried on Christmas Day and now they will not be able to fix it until the 2nd.

Qwest, locked in internet price of $27.99 a month for life as well. Qwest actually has a pretty good deal going on right now too: Qwest | Cure for Cable

I live in Creston and I called on the 25th and they said that I need to go to Red Oak and they will be open on the 26th from 8-5. I double checked that they would be open and they confirmed. I drove the 50 miles to Red Oak and they are closed. I called back Mediacom and they said that there is nothing that they can do until Tuesday because all of their technisions are booked. I just found out that Qwest does not serve the Creston area. Thanks for the tip though. Who else is a possibility?

Don't laugh, that is all my parents can get where they live. Maybe one of these days Iowa Telecom will run some DSL out their way like they've done to other rural areas. Parents aren't even 5 miles out of town either.Quote:
