I just got off the phone for the third time with Mediacom because my cable box fried on Christmas Day and now they will not be able to fix it until the 2nd.

Won't they let you switch it out? Mine fried and I just took it downtown and exchanged it.
I live in Creston and I called on the 25th and they said that I need to go to Red Oak and they will be open on the 26th from 8-5. I double checked that they would be open and they confirmed. I drove the 50 miles to Red Oak and they are closed. I called back Mediacom and they said that there is nothing that they can do until Tuesday because all of their technisions are booked. Well today is Tuesday and they did not schedule it the last time and now they say the earliest that they can be here is Friday the 2nd.
I thought so too.. until my price went up 2 years later...

Don't laugh, that is all my parents can get where they live. Maybe one of these days Iowa Telecom will run some DSL out their way like they've done to other rural areas. Parents aren't even 5 miles out of town either.
Qwest for i-net and Direct tv with the sports pack.
