Anyone have one or use one ever?
I'm wondering if it is a decent workout.
I run 20-30 miles a week, but don't do any strength training and am always looking for something different.

I got it for Christmas.
It's really fun. You basically make what you want of it.
You can make it a work out if you want, but you can also just do it for the games. Depends how hard you push yourself.
Not a decent workout at all. Wii fit is for 80 year old women to get a workout, but if you are a runner, it will do nothing.
Is it something that can make some games more fun, or does it have it's own games with it for a "workout"
Not the greatest workout, but quite fun. I also just got the Shaun White Snowboarding game that uses the balance board....very fun game that you control largely with the board.
Its fun... Unfortunately I haven't had ours out in about 6 months.
It tones and strengthens. The yoga portion of it can be tough if you balance is poor. Might not get much out of aerobics but the rest is solid.
Knowing you wartknight, I doubt you would get a 'great workout'
I would say a little of both. It's not going to replace a distance runner's workout routine by any means, but it's a good way to get some activity and have some fun if the weather is crappy or you're too lazy to go to the gym. Most of the strength exercises are basic core strength, so if you're already in good shape you might not get much from it. But if you're in round shape like me, you might find it is a good start.
The only games that come with it that are just fun games are the balance games- soccer ball heading, ski slalom, ski jump, etc. You still get some decent activity while doing those as well. I do look forward to more games in the future that utilize the board. I think someone mentioned Shaun White, and Rayman Raving Rabbids 3 supposedly uses it pretty well. Haven't played either yet myself.
Apparently Boxing (the free version that comes with the Wii) is a decent workout. I know a lady that lost 30 lbs by boxing 30-60 minutes every day.
Do you have an Ipod Touch or nano? I bought the Nike+ a few weeks ago and I like the way it tracks my runs and it's very accurate. Without calibrating it, I ran on the treadmill and it said I ran 1.98 miles and the treadmill said 2. Once you plug the Ipod into your PC it automatically send it to Nike. You then can see your pace, calories, miles, etc. I wouldn't buy a Touc or Nano just to have it but if you already have onof thesde it's well worth the $20. BTWE-I use it with NB shoes.
