Mountain Lion hit near Jefferson, IA on Hwy 30

I received this from a friend yesterday. Haven't seen any news articles about it yet but these are the pictures that he had and send to me. Pretty crazy to see one of these in Iowa!
For you transplanted Iowans who thought Iowa was just not wild enough for you any more!! And for you out-of-staters who think Iowa is just too tame!! Jefferson, IA is in central Iowa .

This lion was hit on Highway 30 near Jefferson,IA by a car. Fish and Game had to come and put him down. He charged at the Fish and Game guy in the process. Look at his PAWS!.

This same story and picture was out a year or more ago. It was determined to be false then as well.

seem weird...that the same guy would hit a mountain lion

Actually, the mountain lion and guy are real. Just didn't happen in Iowa. The guy is a taxidermist(sp?), hence all the racks.

Nobody is going to believe me but I was living with one of my buddies while finishing up school at ISU. We lived in Urbandale, right behind the Urbandale fire station off of Douglas. It was three years ago this winter and there was a lot of snow on the ground. We came out of the house in the morning and notice paw prints on the roof on his garage (detached garage in the rear of the house). We went around back and noticed the animal had jumped off the ground, went up and over the roof and jumped down on the other side and continued down the driveway. I am 100% sure they were mountain lion prints. We called the DNR and he asked us to describe the prints and he got real quite once we described them to him. He never confirmed what he thought is was but I believe to this day that it was a mountain lion.

The guy at Happy Apple Orchard in Norwalk has pictures of one on Stealth cam... The DNR told him it was someone's dog... I saw the pictures and there is NO WAY it's a dog...
