That or a Sphynx. I couldn't decide between the two.
No, I have never seen the Lord of the Rings movies and don't remember it from books 1-5. Is it in book 6? I never finished that one.
It come up in The Fellowship of the Ring just as they are leaving the Mines of Moria out to Lothlorien.

Being a Balrog, you probably did not need a toaster anyway......and thank you for reminding people to be nicer on this site.
Re: I would like to say thankyou to everyone on this site.......
If Gandalf was on the "Bride" of Khazad-Dum I don't think he would have had time to fight a Balrog.

You're not suppose to admit you know that. I think Boromir tipped off the Balrog.

If you thought that was a nipple, you need to be checking some other sites, not CF.

I remember when I hit benchwarmer status, It was sunny that day, not to hot, football season hadn't started yet, so there was a feeling of optimism in the air. The word Chizik was still a noun.
Re: I would like to say thankyou to everyone on this site.......
Read the Silmarillion. There are many balrogs.
Re: I would like to say thankyou to everyone on this site.......
It took me a while to see the Balrog in the avatar, even though I know what one is.
Great post by the way. I am sure everyone appreciates your input and enjoys having you on the site as much as you like being here.

Balrog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tolkien's conception of Balrogs changed over time. In all his early writing, they are very numerous. There is a host of them stated to number a thousand in Quenta Silmarillion[11] while at the storming of Gondolin, Balrogs in the hundreds ride on the backs of the Dragons.[12] They are roughly of twice[13] human size,[14] and are occasionally killed in battle by Elves and, at the Fall of Gondolin, five are slain by Tuor.[15] They were always fierce demons, associated with fire, armed with fiery whips of many thongs and claws like steel, and Morgoth delighted to use them to torture his captives.[16] They were very loyal to Morgoth, and once came out of hiding to save him from capture.
