Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'
I appreciate all of your advice, I will try to do a couple of them. I will have to pass on the snorkelling trip though. I had a bad experience in Hawaii on our honeymoon. Lets just say the fish didn't go home hungry, damn snorkel!
I'll second Chichen Itza, very cool. It is a good 2 hours away from Cancun but surely you'd be able to find a tour bus trip or something to take you there. I've been there twice, once in high school about 10 years ago and just a couple years ago for an awards trip at work. I was disappointed to find that they don't let people climb the big pyramid anymore, someone fell and died a few years ago. In retrospect, I should've been more surprised that they let us climb them on the first trip because they are extremely steep. Still a worthwhile trip though.
This post is spot on. That and the fact every hawk fan couldn't fight the desire to carve something with his/her car keys.
All things flow according to the whims of the great magnet.
"You know, that might be the answer - to act boastfully about something we ought to be ashamed of. That's a trick that never seems to fail."
