One of the biggest concerns is having the kids standing out at the bus stops and having the diesel gelling up becasue of the cold. Good possibility a bus full of kids could get stranded for quite some time in this weather if the bus breaks down.

Re: School Cancelled Tomorrow?
Supposed to be -45 with the wind tomorrow, I'm hoping my school closes.
Edit: As I was writing the post, got a 2 hour delay!

Re: School Cancelled Tomorrow?
Just ridiculously stupid to cancel the entire day. If they can go to school today when it was 0 out, they can go tomorrow when it is -5.
I'm not happy about it.

I'm not happy about it. Wind chill was only -15 or so today. There's a difference between today and tomorrow's forecast.

If you put it that way, I totally agree. One more bad day and then it will start to warm up.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

If anything, delay the start 2 hrs, but to cancel the whole day is just stupid...I'm sorry.

Send your 6year old to stand outside for about 15 minutes to simulate waiting for the bus or walking to school, see how she feels after that.
Still calling for -30 windchill at 10am, so much for 2 hour delay.

Re: School Cancelled Tomorrow?
Of course everyone complains about how silly it is to cancel school on a frigid cold today and then would turn around and sue the school district if their kid caught the sniffles waiting for the bus.
We may be raising a bunch of pansies, but we are also living with a generation of parents who complain no matter what the school does.
