One of my favs:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_089EURkNo]YouTube - Lil' Troy - Wanna Be A Baller[/ame]
Used to listen to a little NWA and Eazy E back in the days too. Been so long since I've listened to a lot of rap I can't even remember some of them rightn now.

Re: 10 favorite rap songs
You said "favorite" and "rap songs" in the same sentence. Almost like saying "favorite Country and Western songs".
Guess I'm just the wrong generation... -
Re: 10 favorite rap songs
This could be a very entertaining thread (get my shareaza fired up) or it could be very short! LOL.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers -

Re: 10 favorite rap songs
Mine should give away my age a bit too and will lean heavily to one group that I still like to listen to today. I just wish they wouldn't have put out their last album or two.
1. Foe The Love of $ - Bone
2. The Crossroads - Bone
3. Look Into My Eyes - Bone
4. Juicy - B.I.G.
5. Notorious Thugs - B.I.G./Bone
6. I Ain't Mad At Cha - Tupac
7. Your Sister - TQ
8. Laughing At You - Big Punisher
9. It's So Hard - Big Punisher
10. Put It On Me - Ja Rule
These are in no order as well and don't really represent my top 10 but are probably close.

Re: 10 favorite rap songs
Anything MF DOOM or Madvillain or Viktor Vaughn or DANGERDOOM (all aliases of the same MC but with different producers). 2004's "Madvillainy" album is probably my favorite hip-hop album of all time. Completely different from mainstream rap though... no hooks/choruses, very short songs, obscure samples, etc. His lyrical skills and flow are amazing, though. I'd suggest to check it out, even if you are normally not a big rap fan.
