Will we Beat Kansas?

ISU would need to contain Collins. He is the spark plug for that team. How are Diante or BP going to guard that guy? He is built like a bowling ball and is lighting quick. I think you need a guy like Boozer or Buckley on him. Any thoughts?

DG still needs to be point. I'm not suggesting otherwise.

I think Boozer could match up well with Collins. The young kids have been getting a chance to acclimate to Big XII play, little by little. This would be a great game to see Boozer and another young guy or two go off and make real contributions.

I think DG's height could cause him some problems, but I totally agree, we need to keep him out of the lane as often as possible.

Their talent appears to be down. Maybe Bill Self is not as good a recruiter as Roy Smith. No wonder he wants HB.

My expectations are certainly low enough to call this a signature win. Easily would be the best win in Gmac's tenure. I don't care what they are ranked, it would be huge to beat KU.

Sometimes, I wonder why threads are in certain forums where they don't belong. Now, I wonder why this isn't in the Men's BB Forum--or at least the Big XII Forum. What are people thinking when they post?

I think that of course we have a shot at beating Kansas in Ames. They have a lot of young players, who don't necessarily play well on the road--and vice versa. Craig could have a big game, especially if Ham keeps Aldrich busy.

Hopefully they won't go to the full court press or we are in trouble.
Also if they guard the 3 point line we are in trouble.
If they guard us in the paint we are in trouble.
If we allow there outside shooters to shoot 3s we are in trouble
If we allow them to throw it in to there big men we are in trouble.
If we foul them we are in trouble.

So no I don't think we beat KU.
