Re: Lewis Central High School question

I would stay in Iowa if thats where you are now. I like Omaha and like in Papillion but it isnt going to be worth your drive, especially because the places in Neb youd likely want to be are west a ways. The biggest problem we had with the Bluffs when we moved over here was that housing was more expensive there compared with Omaha. You may make it up on the taxes, who knows. I know that I could have kept my ISU license plates if I had stayed in the Bluffs! Oh well. I would expect you to find more in east CB than in west too. I lived in the NW corner when I first started working here and it was fine for a while but pretty small and grubby places abound.
Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.

All you need to know if Council Bluffs is on the correct side of the river, Omaha is not. If that's not enough (it should be) C.B. has the same initials as Craig Brackins. Added bonus.

Grew up in Irwin (graduated from I-K-M) and worked awile in Harlan and my entire family now lives in Harlan or Omaha, so Harlan is where I go to see the family now.

Ummmmm.... Lewis Central though if i had to rate my HS experience 1-10, id say about a 4.

Veeerrrrryyyyy political school, many kids on our NHS had MIP's and people like me who didnt drink in HS got the shaft because there was "suspicsion" (sp?) that i did.

Sports are pretty mucha joke for the most part. Most kids there are all about "I" never thought i'd witness people on the same team as you be so hateful. thats why our wrestling team is good.

Fine Arts at LC are top notch! The drama program is stellar, and our chiors are year in- and year out some of the best. The band is ever growing and nothing but success is in thier future.

If you want any other info on LC I'd be happy to talk to you. just shoot me a private message.

BTW for any posters who are going to say that maybe i didnt like HS cuz i was a loser, i would disagree with.... i just didnt fit in with the normality of Douchebaggery you had to have to fit in correctly. my little brother transferred this year to Treynor Community HS and he likes it about 100% more. i wish i would have done the same but w/e.

My final advice to ISUguy would be.... look into Treynor Comm schools. very nice people and smaller school enviroment. i dont know thier teacher situation, but Treynor beats the crap out of LC in about every catagory. My brother was about a whole semester behind in math when he got to treynor... LC jsut aint what it used to be

He is entitled to his opinion. Unsure why the personal attack was necessary, but on that topic I will commend him for his ability to structure sentences into an understandable thought. At least someone from LC learned to write. :)

As far as education goes, LC has been expanding it's programs like crazy. Every trimester their are 4 or 5 new courses to choose from. You can get a good education at St Albert's and AL, but TJ is way behind. LC has classes that get students ready for college, like several different engineering courses and alot of business classes. St Albert's does make state in football because they are 1A. The kids who go there grow up in the same environment as the rest of us in CB. We get to play good competition in every sport because Omaha is so close. When i was younger my teams were always about half LC half St Albert's kids.
I don't want to get too far off base, but T.J. had a great baseball tradition well before Toole came around. Talk to people who played for Toole (I'm one of them) and you will get a story that doesn't fit his reputation as painted by the Nonpareil (and Toole himself).

Anyway, I think C.B. is a fine city and Lewis Central is a good school.

I understand where your coming from. I play for him right now and he is a good coach, but nothing special. There are alot of kids who have there disagreements with him, and some who stopped playing because of personal disagreements.

The only reason his brother likes treynor so much more is because no one could stand him at LC. He was the cockiest kid ive ever known. He is also makes ISU fans look terrible. He would always go around saying how we were going to have some amazing football team instead of being realistic and saying we were going to be ok. because he would say this stuff people would come up to me and think i was cocky like him and i would always end up defending myself. the only thing that i ever liked about him was that he was in my mind the only other true ISU fan in miy grade, even though he is a bad one.

pretty much all u did is prove my point about people from LC being retards. grow up. this is a board for giving someone advice, not for childish idiots like you to try and talk **** about others on this board. I gave my honest opinion, and im not really sure why you care about what i have to say.

i guess if you want to defend that you are obviously one of the idiots attending school there than keep complaining about me.

If i have any clue who you are, which i think i do, you honestly dont have any room to be talking ****. so move on with your life and accept that other people can have opinions that differ from your own.

By the way is this a better for you?

wow.... didnt know you actually went this low... i really dont see how this bolded part makes any sense... (i know i'm gonna get in trouble for this but) I AM THE MASCOT!!!! i could only really see how that makes me a BETTER fan! You sir are an idiot. You really do belong at LC in this current crop.

As far as my brother goes... idk he is annoying, but just because his "red and gold goggles" might be a little darker than most doesnt mean we are bad fans. jesus my family has had season tickets over 35 years!!! i dont see how ANYONE from my family is bad fans.

I shouldve included this all in my last post but i wasnt that mad, but after you questioning my fanhood.... **** YOU! (f word)
