How do I transfer my iTunes library?

We finally got a new laptop and I was wondering what I need to do to transfer my songs off of my iPhone to the new computer?

I used an external hard drive and moved them over from computer to computer.

What about burning them to a cd as data and then putting them on the new PC.

Anyone have any luck with accessing files on an iPhone? I'll read an attachment emailed to me but I have no idea how to get at it afterwards without getting in to the email again? Even though I downloaded it.

Itunes is the biggest piece of crap to ever be mass produced!
All things flow according to the whims of the great magnet.

iDump was a program I have seen people use in the past, to take songs from their iPods to their computers. Search for it online and I'm sure you'll be able to find it. Good luck everything!

I think it is easier to do computer to computer rather than ipod to computer. Just connect your old and new computers and transfer the files. Make sure to load itunes on your new one first.
