I've learned to never underestimate how dumb people can be when they're desperate. If (legal disclaimer) the guy was committing millions of dollars worth of fraud, then he was demonstrating that he doesn't operate on the same scale of morality and intelligence as other people you'd consider normal. It's not a stretch at all to think people like this would commit further crimes out of desperation.

On top of fraud, he builds shoddy homes and then won't stand behind them when the roofs fail after only a year.

He could also owe money to the wrong people, if you know what I mean!

Walters also had a big house burn down in West Des Moines many years back.

I was just going to say that, it was very similar to the one that he built and has now sold right behind Valley Stadium. :skeptical:

Dave Walters built the house behind Valley Stadium, and while I don't know him personally, i have heard many good things about him.

And you have??? Like I said, I have heard nothing but good things about the man from people that know him personally, and I refuse to drag someone's name throught the mud when I do not have all the details.

Dave always seemed ok but I didnt deal with him much. While John was probably a good guy to have a beer with, he definitely oozed 'full of BS developer type'.

Dave Walters? Isn't Randy Walters John's business partner? I wasn't referring to Dave, not sure who he is.
