Media Player for Ripping/Burning CDs
I have pretty much used Windows Media Player and WinAmp for the purpose of managing my music collection on my computers. I like WinAmp a lot but am too cheap to purchase the full version. I really like the layout. The problem with this is that WinAmp (free) is incredibly slow when burning CDs.
Anyone use a media player that you feel really good about? Care to share? I would like to try something else out...

Re: Media Player for Ripping/Burning CDs
Ironically I like Windows Media Player. It rips, it sets up libraries that are customizable to your tastes, etc. Not saying it's the best out there, but it suits my needs.

I've never had a bad thing to say about iTunes, does everything I need it to with a very simple interface.

I used to use MusicMatch Jukebox and it was awesome until Yahoo bought it. Now it sucks. I tried WinAmp but it was starting to get bloated. Windows Media Player is already on my PC and does everything I need it to do.

I use Winamp for burning and ripping, although I have the Pro version. With it, it allows faster ripping and burning speeds.

Mediamonkey does this, and pretty well.

I'm not an apple guy, but I've always liked iTunes. I'm really liking a new feature it has called Genius. Basically, you select a song, hit the Genius button, and then it creates a play list with other songs that go with the one you selected. Pretty neat IMO.

For my Mac, MactheRipper + Popcorn give me carbon copies with little to no flaws. Coupled with Netflix, my library is now huge.
