Heros Sucks

I finally watched this past episode and I have to say the supposed "reboot" of the series is terrible. Some things I have a really big problem with and can't get over it.

1. Claire and Her Father. The lovey dovey relationship is getting very very old. One minute she hates her father and the next minute she loves her father and they hug. If I have to hear him say one more time "I'll do anything to protect you and our family" again, I think I will stop watching the show forever.

2. Mohinder. Why does he still have powers and why don't they kill him off. He was much more interesting as the Doctor character and now he has powers as well which I think is really stupid.

3. Let people remain dead. Cylar was killed but now he is back. His character is annoying and the stupid finger trick is getting really really old.

4. Peter was the coolest character on the show and now they've made him stupid by only being able to have one power at a time.

5. How many times does Hiro have to lose his powers or go get the sword to bring them back.

6. Stop killing off the interesting characters. Nemesis was my favorite newcomer and I liked the Hiro/Nemesis storyline but now they kill her off. They did the same with Kristin Bells character as well. The hot mexican girl, the irish girl that got stuck in the future, Adam Monroe, etc. etc. Kill off the boring regulars and keep the interesting newcomers.

7. Why does everything have to be told in pictures? That was the concept for season 1 and they still have someone drawing pictures every single season since then. The Painter dude is dead, let that power go away.

8. These heros are the worst at actually using their super powers. They are incompetent heros.

This show had such great promise and now it is just depressing how far it has fallen.

I actually agree. I used to look forward to every episode but now I just watch it because I've always watched it. Too bad.

I agree that it currently kind of is slow. I am hoping they are building up to a big 3 sided war. Good vs. Bad (Sylar's cronies that he is gathering) vs. Government.

I'm getting kind of tired of who's bad, who's evil. Seems like everyone switches side at one point or another.

Look at X-Men, you know who was bad, you knew whow was evil, you watched and rooted for your favorites every show. Right now, I don't know who I would root for!!!!

The Clair Bear thing is getting old.

After just watching Season 2, this season is far better and thus keeping me interested, but it's hard to match the 1st I would agree.

I don't like how they keeping killing people off, or just plain ignoring them. Where did the irish girl go?

If I may nerd out for a moment, X-Men has always had lots of "gray" (as in, not just white and black sides) and side-switching. Several of the X-Men's heroes are of the "anti-hero" variety: characters with good intentions but lots of baggage, dark sides, secrets, etc., as well as villains whose intentions are more complicated than "he's doing that cuz he's evil." That is part of what makes a compelling story/series - the richness of the characters, their choices, relationships, etc.

With all that said, I have never watched Heroes, so I can't comment on that aspect.

I agree but I'm liking this season much better than most of last season, that whole level 5 stuff was stupid in the fact that everyone kept going in, then getting let right out, or going in, then they'd escape with their powers. Mr. Patrelli could do whatever the hell he wanted was pretty annoying too, seemed like people were making up rules as they went.

Its a soap opera now I stopped watching after the 3rd episode this season havent even had the urge to watch any of the new episodes.

The nerfing of Peter is probably what will cause me to stop watching.

I used to like how Noah would always blur that good/bad line, but it's getting old.

The whole lets kill off a character and then bring back a different person with the exact same powers was pushing me over the edge. There are just to many main characters in the show cut it down to like 5 and make an interesting story

I quit watching after last season. The story lines sucked and the characters weren't that likeable. Hiro was supposed to turn into this cool character, but he is still the same old bumbling idiot as he was to start with. The good/bad Peter, the bad/good Sylar, all just too much like a soap opera to me. I'll stick with the Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother on Mondays. Heroes isn't worthy of the DVR space now.

To me its like they have this cool toy (the powers that they can assign and use) and some characters that they think they have to keep and beyond that they have no real idea of where they are going. so, they set up little conflicts here or there and have the heros run around and get out of trouble but there is no real point. What happened to Hiro now being the light or the whatever that Clair had until he went back and took it from his mom. Did they just decide that was silly and skip it. Now they are gearing up for some battle against the government and it isnt looking too interesting. I am supremely glad, however, that they killed of Mr. Patrelli. I agree, one guy who can do everything is a little too much.

I've never watched Heroes, but from talking about the show with others, it sounds like it's become what I was afraid Lost would become in its final seasons. Thank goodness it's the other way around.

NBC is bad period except for Thursday night comedies. The best thing that could happen is for Letterman to retire, Conan to replace him instead of Leno, NBC ends The Office and the My name is Earl, ABC picks those shows up like they did with Scrubs, NBC goes out of business forever. Good riddance.
