OK fellow Star Wars geeks...
Watching Star Wars on Spike right now and need others opinion. Who else thinks that Jar Jar Binks is completely unnecessary? I can't believe Lucas allowed "him" to be in the movie. It is an extreme character, who in my opinion, tries to add humor... when humor is not needed. Am I alone here?
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

i would assume he was trying to reach another younger generation. He already had the 25-40 year olds hooked, needed to reach the next generation of kids.

Not a star wars geek, but the way they were made, the prequels were all unnecessary. Maybe never in the history of movies has something had so much potential and not even come close. Basically, Lucas made a big screen video game. If JarJar is the only thing that disturbs you about these movies then consider yourself lucky. If nothing else, I love to now point out who is the jar jar and any tv show or movie I see. There usually is one character who is totally unnecessary to the story who ends up detracting from the show rather than helping.

Is Jar Jar a star in Clone wars?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: OK fellow Star Wars geeks...
jar jar binks destroyed Star Wars. Phantom Menace was complete garbage. If I met George Lucas, I would punch him in the face for whoring Star Wars out the way he has. The only decent thing he has done for years was Revenge of the Sith...

Re: OK fellow Star Wars geeks...
I would agree. While the whole story was impressive, even with it's flaws, it had so much more potential to extend beyond where it did. -

Scenes from that movie are even touching on Lego Star Wars.

One, we can understand. The other will result in a man card revocation.
Sincerely,
