I was once hired to be the token man in an office. 16 women, and the boss (also female) figured a man in the office would at least partially defuse the toxic situation that was forming there.
Within a couple days, she called me in and thanked me for coming to work there; seems like the whole office relaxed, once a man arrived.
Female-male dynamics are one of my favorite subjects.
