In case anyone cares....a national look at a local incident with McCarney's daughter. Rome previewed that he'll have a take on that coming up later in the show.

wait.....she busted out the "do you know who i am?" card. does she think it was going to matter. she is in iowa city correct? "i am the daughter of the cyclone football coach who turned around their program and beat the hawkeyes 5 consecutive times."

"Do you know who my dad is?"

"My dad has alot of money so the charges won't stick"

"My dad will beat you up if you arrest me"

Do you guys think that this is something that should even be reported in Central Iowa? I guess I am struggling with that.

It wouldn't be a big deal at all if she didn't make the comments she did... But she did and chose to make it news, now it's a national story...

if Larry drinking a beer or two at a party is news then this is news. so it depends on if you reported that story or not.

It is hard to see where any comments uttered when a person is drunk would be considered news. Humorous to others, yes, but hardly newsworthy. Many of us have said stupid things under the influence that we wish we wouldn't have said, or would never have said when sober.

I'm assuming she was intoxicated at the time. It's just too bad that she didn't toss out that her grandpop had been Chief of IC Police.

Jon's probably right, Central Iowa doesn't need to report anything from Iowa City. I mean, it's WAY over there, who cares what happens in Iowa City. We should just stop reporting anything from there from here on out.
