Anybody unhappy with their health insurance?
I had surgery and the insurance company is refusing to pay for the assistant surgeon.
The costs that were allowed were from a non-network provider so they are only paying 65% of the allowed costs.

My insurance would only charge me $25 total over 9 months of pregnancy including the birth.... They wouldn't pay $800 for the birth control option I wanted. I sucked it up and paid the $750 discounted price (b/c my insurance didn't pay), but was ******.
Babies = 10k - over 100k depending on if there are complications.
Guaranteed no baby for 5 years = $800
And they wonder why we think they are ***backwards!
I watched parts of Sicko this morning....it left me feeling ill on several levels
Non network providers is a big deal since doctors have to sign an agreement not to charge beyond a certain amount. So I need to seek approval prior to any work for non network people. I do not understand why the assistant does not get paid.
You did receive pre approval for non network provide when you filed? Do you need to change your insurance company?
won't matter in a couple weeks because there will be no insurance companies left. Principal, Aegon, and Hartford all about to go under in the next week or two. AIG is haning on by government assistance.
