I live in Johnson County
Should I be concerned that either my wife or I will snap and kill the family off?
Something fishy going on in these parts. -

I feel for you, I work in Iowa City and the amount of homerism Im subjected to is sickening, granted I guess you'd get that for anyteam in their home town.

Re: I live in Johnson County
Most states have two main institutions, one of which is dedicated to career-related, practical education, and the other of which is dedicated to the so-called "liberal arts". Without fail, the so-called "liberal arts" schools, become the epicenter of a critical mass of mental defectives, freaks and free-loaders, which results in all sorts of crazy behaviors.
While I am a big fan of the study of liberal arts and the social sciences, (I consider myself a social scientist, if you will) I have no idea why social and soft science institutions become correlated with such craziness.

Something fishy going on in these parts. I know you're trying to be funny, but making light of the death of the members of that family is in poor taste.

But my gut says at least correlated.

I would also guess that the original poster isn't referring to that at all, he just merely forgot to add . Hopefully. You're getting your IC tragedies mixed up (seems like there's been a lot in the past year). The guy who killed his family and crashed the minivan was a bank VP. The professor shot himself in a park. Terrible stuff either way.

Or the music professor accused of sexual harassment or the Coralville Regina mom rescued with her sons from the Iowa River only to try again....there's definitely a dark cloud hanging over us...
Today's tragedy, which happened over the weekend in Lone Tree, involved a 51 y/o male who appears to have strangled his 39 y/o former girlfriend before taking his own life.

There is something in the water. Weird things just keep happening in this county. Why can't people just take their lives...why do they have to take someone else? -
Re: I live in Johnson County
It is all unfortunate, regardless of whether they are Hawkeyes or not...
