Did anybody else see the Hank Haney Project - Charles Barkley on the Golf Channel last night. I couldn't wait for this because I thought it would be a lot of fun to laugh at him. I have never much cared for Barkley, but after seeing that, kind of got a new respect for him. The show was funny, but not because of his turrable game, but because he had a sense of humor about it himself. I'm a total hack myself and have to admit that I would have probably given up the game after going through what he has gone through. Have to give him credit for putting himself on display at tournaments in front of all those people, embarassing himself and having the fortitude to stick it out and fix it.
Havent seen it, but heard about it... Sounds interesting... I remember a few years back, Gabrielle Reece retired from volleyball and hired David Ledbetter, thinking that since she was a great athlete she could make it on the LPGA tour with no problems... She was humbled pretty quickly...

Charles was actually a fairly decent player in the 1990s. They said he was about a 12 handicap. He doesn't know what happened to him over the last few years to cause this total disaster of a swing.

About 20 years ago Michael Jordan used to talk about joining the Senior Tour when he turned 50. He'd get pole-axed by those guys. Great athletes think they can be pro golfers all the time.

John Smoltz WILL be on the senior tour and WILL make some good money at it...

Hank might have enough money for another white Mercedes after all the time it is going to take to 'hopefully' straighten out whatever the heck Sir Charles is trying to do with that golf club.
It is amazing Sir Charles can hit the ball at all since his eyes are looking down the fairway for the ball BEFORE he actually hits it..
Good thing I can record 2 HD shows at a time since this show was on when 24 was on...
