    Taking Chance

    I have to throw this out again for those who missed it the first time. An unforgettable movie. Here's a good review of it, so that you don't have to take my word for it. It's an HBO film.

    Thank you for the heads up. My son is just about to turn 11, and while it may currently be a bit strong for him now, I will definitely want him to watch this in a year or so.

    I am not sure it will be to strong for him. There is no wart footage at all. It is all about honor and duty, two things a young man can never get enough of. It also might give you the opportunity to talk to him about men who go off to battle and why they do so.

    My oldest son is applying to the academies and West Point for entry next year so this is starting to hit pretty close.

    I've seen it. I may have phrased that wrong. I want him to be interested enough in it for it to impact him in the way it should. But he has surprised me before, so the time may be now.

    I watched this movie last Saturday, and I haven't been hit that hard by any movie in a long time.

    The scene where LTC Strobl was driving to the funeral home was almost too much, and I really have no idea why; it just hit me the hardest.
