I wonder if this will be similar to ABATE, as in you don't need to bring anything except your boots.

Its not a bad price for 4 days, and all the food, drinks, and air conditioning you can handle. You can buy cheaper individual tickets, but if I were to go, which I will not, I would definately do the 4 day pack.

Ugh, when I was younger I hated ABATE and I'd be ****** off if I was my brother's age and still thought hanging out at the pool was the cool thing to do in town (well, now, it's more like the only thing). Now there's 2 weeks each year you can't touch the pool in fear of fat bikers taking the place over. A couple that played hoops with us at the pool were cool but most were jerks.

I'd be mainly going for Judas Priest, but you're right, Friday looks like the best overall night.

rock fest is always a great time! every year there are people having sexual relations right in front of everyone....if you are into that kinda thing. but really the cheap tickets and a relatively short drive to Kansas City is definitely worth it. you should really go sometime...

I don't really like any of these bands, but for freaking Algona (?!?!) this is unreal. The only team a remotely known band plays in Iowa north of hwy 20 (outside of uni-dome) they are at the Surf or Luther... Except for that one time David Allen Coe played in Schley (rep to the first person who actually knows where that is...)

Yup, by Cresco. I grew up about 45 minutes west and north of there (between McIntire and Stacyville), and Schley, while a slight drive, had quite the reputation as a party town. Rep added.
