This was held in Humboldt for many years until just recently. Humboldt used to draw around 10,000 people. If you have never been to one of these, be very careful.

I heard if you attend for 5 straight years you can become a Master ABATER!!

Except for that one time David Allen Coe played in Schley (rep to the first person who actually knows where that is...)
Kevin Costner's band played a gig in a barn in Leland, (by Forest City) about a month ago.

You're thinking ABATE (the motorcycle rally). Yes, it used to be held in humboldt until they bought freedom park.

Rock Gone Wild is a 1 time thing as far as I know, but it's being held at the ABATE rally site (freedom park).

Make sure you spend all day at Freedom Park because there is NOTHING in Algona to do. I used to burn summer working and at the golf course because there is literally nothing else.

Oh yeah! I remember hearing about that. I guess that place in Pomeroy brings in good bands sometimes too...

Ive lived in Iowa and was smart enought to leave that desolate hell hole. Do you enjoy the smell of pigs and corn? There is nothing to see or do. Can you take a scenic drive? No, unless you count looking at barns or flat nothingness. Why would any bands want to play there? That state is like 20 years behind everyone else! If you venture out of your state you may see a whole new world that smells like fresh air and has mountains or beaches or forests and you just might -like it. Iowa= BORING!

    Wow, quality first post yousux4real.

Hopefully Great White leaves the pyrotechnics at home in the storage shed. I listened to a lot of those bands when I was younger. Being from Britt, I would have been all over that back in the day.
