Though I think he should be. His character is played out, IMO.

The entire show pretty much jumped the shark a year or so ago.
There have been signs of jumping. If Ted McGinley had been cast as Michael's new boss, I would be seriously worried.
Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

Does he ever show up on a show before it's too late?

Jim and Pam getting together...the whole Dwight/Andy/Angela drama, any relationship Michael gets in...
    ugh
    it's just crap.
There's no tension, no edge anymore, not to mention the entire show has gotten just absurd.

They kind of went back on the Assistant to Regional Manager being a made up position..

When they merged the branches, it was made clear that Jim was the #2...But tonight, it was back to not being an official position.

I still think it is a real position, Jim just explained it horribly. Jan offered Jim the number 2 position before the merger. After the merger, Jim got a raise for being the number 2 guy.

    Re: The office SPOILER thread

No one is familiar with the british office?? It's not the first time they've taken plot turns directly from them, although I think David Brent's version of this was much better.. I like their version a lot better in many ways.. mainly because they were free to go anywhere wth the story, knowing they were going to end it.. the US version has to worry about not painting themselves into a corner in case they can get away with milking this thing for a decade or so..

I think Michael quit because he didn't really want the party. That was his "complaint" but he wanted more, and David Wallace only picked up that part and said he'd give him the party. He wanted more than that.

The office sucked ever since the relationship crap started and when Ryan went weird.

Why do shows always have to ruin such a perfect thing?

Steve Carrell has already signed on for 3 more years. Love or hate Michael, he is the focus of the show and it would suffer without him.

I loved the episode. I love how Michael was acting like a baby. I also loved how when the CFO gave him what he want, he quits. The show was due for a surprise.

Well, until Omar and Avon show up, then it's lights out.

I don't think it sucks but I don't worry about it if I miss an episode. I honestly forgot about it until I saw this thread pop up.

I just love it when people post comments like this without any explanation.

Just because your tiny little mind can't wrap itself around the complexity of LOST doesn't mean the show sucks. Maybe it is you that sucks.
