I don't know who I'd like to get rid of worse. Larry may get good guests, but he spends about a third of the time with all of them (no matter what their topic) talking about Drake basketball. If the guest is talking about the NFL draft, Larry will mention Drake basketball.

Nothing beats Larry asking Rick Pitino what he thinks of Mark Phelps only for Pitino to say, "I have no idea who that is"

I don't listen to the show (I'm 180+ miles away), but from all the comments I gather, the softballs that Larry tosses are better than the spitballs that M/M toss on a daily basis...

Are you freaking serious? He asked that?

KXNO really needs to have a rule regarding other jobs that may be a conflict of interest.

Larry's continued play of Drake - particularly last year - is nauseating.

Last interview I heard was a few weeks back when he had John Walters on, and the first few minutes all he would talk about was retiring those Drake Final 4 jerseys from '69 or whenever. Who gives a flying ****. (Granted is WOI's sports director, but I have to think he's on there as the voice of the Cyclones).

And we won't even broach Tirrells defense of everything Energy and attack on anything that's not.

DaddyMac hit the nail on the head. The "Cot-Man" actually gets someone on the air that you'd want to hear and he ends up wasting half his time talking about some idiotic no-name band or how their kid is doing at their little league games.

I don't care if he talks about Drake with his Drake guests. But, like you, it just kills me when he gets on someone talking about Iowa State (or even Iowa) and we spend 3 minutes talking about Drake's most current game. Or he so 'smoothly' slips something into the conversation how he is the voice of the Bulldogs.

I think we should just all thank our lucky stars that he doesn't have Dolph P. on more often. That guy may be a Drake legend but he gives Podalak a run for his money as far as moronic color commentators go.

Yeah I went for my walk this morning and I had the radio on to kxno when the 9 o'clock show started and you can clearly hear martha just cussing a blue streak about the cotman!!!!

Best radio I've heard all week!!!
