Reading one of the links earlier today the fine is from $7,000 up to a max of $32,000 per swear word. They were just giving the extreme level I would guess, otherwise that could get pretty pricey...

I think the rule is that someone actually has to file a complaint with the FCC before they will investigate/assess a fine. I'm quite sure with all the media attention this has got in central Iowa that someone has lodged a complaint against KXNO.

So not only do Marty and Miller suck at their job, they also are costing their employer $300k? I can't imagine they survive this. I know if I was spending my hard earned marketing dollars right now in this economy, I would not be putting it towards backing these 2 clowns!

I'm kinda curious about that as well. Apparently Marty was really butthurt about something that happened with credentials and Cotlar. Which is ironic considering his checkered past regarding the alleged misuse of credentials himself, which earned him his last "vacation".

It was a little hard to discern what was said, but I think Cotlar was accused of stealing Marty's Twin Bing. Not sure of the details.

If KXNO gets fined, so be it. It's what they deserve for continuing to field such marginal talent with such crappy shows. It's not like Marty didn't give all sorts of warning signs....
