    If someone gives you rep, and the square is blue, is that a good thing?

    Blue means that the person giving the rep has a personal rep level too low to affect your rep. For example, a brand new member with zero to low rep would not be able to give out enough rep points to have an affect (or is it effect) on the rep number of the recipient.
