One time one a lake in nutwood illinois by the towns pumphouse. It will be an awesome spot if I ever go back. The Illinois and Mississippi rivers were too flooded to fish.
I also went on a coupla private lakes made out of strip mines, and they were both too deep and big, and the fish just werent moving. I didnt get to head back into the channels which are warmer and shallower, but my buddy did and he didnt catch squat. the tiger muskies should be spawning soon, its a shame that spring break wasnt in another 2 weeks.
My buddy who always out fishes me did catch a few, but not nearly as much as usual. He caught a lil ol channel cat, a perch, and a 10 lb cat. Usually he would have caught 5 or 6 catfish when we go night fishing, but we also couldnt even catch any bluegill for cutbait.
