Re: New South Park
I like the fact that they can from an extremely preachy or socially satirical episode one week (like last week, which was great) to one that's completely ridiculous like this week's.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -

My absolute favorite one, and I can't for the life of me remember the title of the episode, was when Butter's mom asks him to follow his dad because she wanted to know what he was getting her for their anniversary.
"Dad and this man were wrestling, and this other guy must not have been very good because dad held him down for a long time."
It's been a while since I saw that one. That would be butters very own episode.
And I could not believe the part last night with martha stewart that really had me rolling on the ground laughing, that and the road warrior.

IMO, South Park has gotten WAY too politically satirical in the past 4-5 years. Ricidulous episodes like this are way better most of the time.

Sometimes I like the satire, but sometimes it seems like Parker and Stone don't really the understand the issue they're mocking. I think the show absolutely kills when it combines satire w/ridiculousness, like "Imaginationland".

Another good one was the school voting between the "Turd Sandwich" and "Giant ******" for school mascot.

That's why South Park is South Park.
Now, you have to wonder how much of this is me just disagreeing with you because you are a Hawk fan. -

Sometimes it seems like everybody who says they understand the issues Parker/Stone starize don't therefore they get made fun on South Park.
