You pay a huge premium for a Mac which gives you essentially no additional capability over a PC, it just looks nicer.

It is also nice to not have to buy and update security systems every year

Did anyone watch my video?

Again, not trying to argue...but not having to load anti-virus or spyware software on my computer and run updates and have to worry about viruses and the like affecting the performance of my system everyday is kind of a nice feature. I didn't even open up any of the warnings about this last virus that was sweeping across the country, because it doesn't affect a Mac. IMHO there is no comparison to what you can do with stuff like garage band and Imovie amongst others.
They aren't for everyone like I said but for me there were plenty of things worth the additional cost beyond the looks. It is just way easier to use, I never have to install a driver or cd to run something like a printer, it is just plug and play for everything. You take it out of the box and it just works, nothing to install, not programs to update...just turn it on and away you go.

I just like how the macs come with the security software built right in... no buying the norton antivirus or macafee or downloading the freeware

I have no anti-virus software on any of my PCs and I've never had a problem.
And there are plenty of good alternatives to garage band and imovie on PC as well that you can more than make up for with the difference in cost between a decent PC and a decent mac. The specs on the PC that JM posted for a "bargain" at 1500 would run you maybe 700-800 bucks in the PC world.

It's a waste of money, and resources.
It's a moot point that Mac's dont' have to worry about it. Ubuntu users don't have to worry about it either. It doesn't mean I want to run Ubuntu on my desktop.

Maybe you can't see the button, but you do now, through knowledge obtained in this thread, realize that it doesn't matter. You can set up the mouse to your liking. So you had to read something in order to use it. This is called learning.
However, I will admit that the MightyMouse scroll ball gets grimy fast, and taking apart the mouse takes finesse because you don't want to pay 50 for a new mouse. Fortunately, years of taking things apart around the house as a child paid off, and I have successfully repaired it several times with no problems in performance.
Point being, I taught myself how to clean the damn thing. I think most PC users can figure a Mac mouse out without question.

I am just asking cuz without any security system on the computer that could be pretty risky
