Great Computer Prank
OK, guys, this has nothing to do with anything constructive but it is great fun. It's too good not to share with you.
1. Get on someone's computer when they're away from the desk.
2. Hit the Prnt Scrn key (this captures their display as a picture)
3. Open PowerPoint
4. Paste the picture on a slide and adjust to fill the whole frame
5. Copy and paste the slide several times -- maybe 20-30 times
6. Now run Slideshow
What happens is that their display will appear just as they left it, but as a picture with no functional icons. They can click and click but nothing will happen (in reality they are advancing through the slides, but they all look the same).

Or PrintScreen the desktop, set that as the background, and turn the icons off.

We used to do that to people at work. Ahhh great times.

Re: Great Computer Prank
We always did the same thing by using print screen and saving that image as their background, moving all of their icons to a folder and minimize the taskbar.
Another fun option is to hook up a wireless mouse to their computer. When they are working on stuff just subtley move the mouse at first then gradually increase how much you move the mouse. Windows will recognize both so as they're moving their mouse, you can really screw with them.

Re: Great Computer Prank
One more fun one, change their shortcut links to open other programs. THere is also a command you can put into the shortcut that when they try to open the program it will shut down their computer.
And of course the blue screen of death screen saver is always a good time.

Re: Great Computer Prank
No you hit the prnt screen and save it to the computer. Then go and change the background picture to the image and it looks like the screen but they can't click on anything.

Re: Great Computer Prank
You can print screen, set as background, disable the icons, AND end the explorer.exe process. Now that will get them confused. -

Re: Great Computer Prank
don't forget reversing the mouse buttons and setting the mouse movement sensitivity to as low as possible so it takes them forever to get their mouse to move to where ever they want to click.
Oh... and adding an entry to auto correct so everytime they type some word, it'll change to something else.
Ahhh... good times.

This is my sarcasm pirate. There are many like it but this one is mine. -
Re: Great Computer Prank
I just did a test run on my computer, it's irritating even when you know what is going on.
