Garman and The Round Guy
Is it just me? Has anyone else listened to the Out of Bounds show over the noon hour on 1700 The Champ?
I am not a Rome fan, but I can listen to about 5 or 10 minutes of Andy Garman and The Round Guy and my stomach forces me to turn the channel to Rome on 1460. Those two guys' ability to conduct a compelling interview simply isn't there and when they get to talking to each other about sports events, etc. its almost like listening to a couple of school kids on the playground talking. Simply gut-wrenching to listen to. I like Garman just fine on the 6 and 10 o'clock sports on Channel 8, but a sports talk show host he is not!
I certainly hope we end up with some good local sports talk in the next couple of weeks, because it sure isn't there now.

You're right, I'd rather listen to long periods of silence (Rome) than this show.

Haven't listened to it - so I can't say. The timeslot is going to kill that show, IMO.
But there's not much of anything that will make me turn to Rome.

Re: Garman and The Round Guy
The nice thing about listening to Rome, as wonka already pointed out, is that half of his show is silence, that's the best half unfortunately.
It's Bushbama!

But there's not much of anything that will make me turn to Rome. Try turning to 1430 and listening to Trent Edwards for 5 seconds over your noon hour. It will make you want to stick pencils in your ears and pierce your eardrums.

Re: Garman and The Round Guy
one thing thats killing the show for me is the constant hawk love garmen and the round guy have .... the other day garmen called the hawks the best football team in iowa ... last i checked it was april and everyone was still 0-0 .... then today when talking about the ferentz issue they made it seen like not a big deal with the hawkeye nation guy (name slips my mind) .... lastly they talk about the hawks everyday but sound like someones twisting their arm to talk about the 'clones yet alone they have no clue about any player other than AA ... cant wait for a new show soon or cowherd to come back ....

I've noticed this too, but I like Jim Rome so I just turned the channel. Plus its just a bad show, Garman is boring and Round guy knows nothing of sports except baseball. You could pick 2 guys out of a sports bar and they could put out a better product.

Kxno is suppose to announce their line up as early as today
If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team. -

Forgive me but I'm often amazed by people who never have and don't have the guts to do these kinds of jobs but are never afraid to criticize those who do...
If you think you can do better...give it a shot and let people criticize you.
