Watched this movie on cable last night. I've never seen it before and it was interesting watching a mid 80's movie that was about the Cold War with the Soviets.

The way of thinking was a lot different back then. A lot of the premises in the movie seem corny now, but they were not as far off base as you might think.

Back in High School I really worried we might end up in nuclear war with the Soviets and that seems so silly now.

It may not seem so silly in about 5 years. The Russians and even the Chinese seem to be ratcheting up the old cold war rhetoric a little more each year. Hopefully things will settle back down.

Another interesting Phaedrus Fun Phact:

Phaedrus and MrsPhaedrus made out, just a little, in one of the box seats at the ballet house where this was filmed. This was, I believe, the first public display of affection between us.

And we've been sickeningly sweet ever since.
