The courses should be in really good shape right now with the weather we've been having. Things were just starting to look good when we were down there at the end March.

Re: Lake of the Ozarks
Shorty pants at mm21 is my favorite. I am partial to the west end. Palisades used to be great. Docks were in really bad shape still last summer.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver."

Re: Lake of the Ozarks
My fiance and I are getting married down there this summer. We got engaged last summer down there. I proposed on the dock in Toad Cove! I hope they don't go under!

Lake valley is a good affordable course. South of Osage beach. Bear creek is a nice course. It will be really nice when it gets some more shade.

You might try a place called Doresy's Pit Stop. It's owned and run by Dorsey Schrader (former race car driver). Right on the water, great food, open air, usually not real busy, steak house on the upper level. It's down by the old Shooter's 21 down Lake road 54-56 off of hyw 54.
Dog Days (used to be called Salty Dog and was/is owned by some ISU folks) is down that way and a bit easier to find. Off 54 take Jeffrise Rd. and it's down on the right about a 1/2mile.
There's a ton of places to go down there both on and off the water. Another place that's great but kind of hard to find by land is the Captin's Galley. Best frozen drinks you could ever ask for. It's kind of a vintage 60's place that was really cool at one time and hasn't changed much.
If you want BBQ, you gota go to Half Sauced. Simple place but really good ribs and turkey. It's right on 54.
The final place I'll mention is Backwater Jacks. Right on the water, really good food (smoked pork loin and fried potato salad), usually busy, outdoor bar, probably live music in the evening.

Never been to Shorty Pants but have been to Palasades. Last time we were there by boat was about 5 years ago and the docks were in rough shape then. Foods not bad....view is great and it's usually not to busy because of the side of the lake it's on.

Hi, fellow Cyclone fans. I own Tiki Bay @ the 4 mile marker. It used to be known as Bait and Bagel. It's on the main channel north shore. Come see Schmitdy our bartender who makes a great drink call the Leg Spreader. Tell them Hank sent you. I love that Lake!!! P.S we also have a condo and boats we rent out. Web site is still (Baitandbagel.com.)
