Tree-trimming companies in DM area?
Can any of you give me some advice on tree-trimming companies here in the Des Moines area?
I have 2 locust trees in my front yard that need some serious trimming, have any of you used Des Moines based companies for this?
Locust trees suck. What a stupid tree. Why?
1-In the spring they shed these stupid tiny seeds that cover your driveway and deck. Harder than hell to sweep up and get in your flower beds and make a mockery of it.
2-In the fall the leaves are so tiny they're hard to rake. Not to mention they sneak into your gutter guards making those somewhat useless.
3-Also, once the leaves fall off, then you have to wait for the stems to fall off so you double rake and the stems also reak havoc on your gutter guards by clogging off the holes. It looks like I have nails standing on end around my roof.

Cut them down and plant a tree that won't grow in Harlem.
Oh and go with Wright Tree Service. Best tree business in Des Moines.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Leaf blowers are a savior, I bought a Toro last fall that Consumer Reports recommended. I was amazed how well it worked.

I've used Wright and Haag in the past. Both do good work. I'd get estimates and see who's cheaper.

I used Perficut to remove a tree and trim some others last Fall. Was happy with their work and price.

I'd go with a "name" tree service to be sure. We went with a local guy once, and he broke his leg on our property. We sweated bullets for the next two years, hoping he wouldn't sue us.
No insurance, no bond. Stupid us.

I have a locust tree but it's not even as annoying as the maple tree on my property. The maple sheds a ton of these every spring:
They clog your gutters, they sprout saplings all over the place and they are a pain in the rear to clean up since you'll never get nearly all of them no matter how hard you try.

Dont use Timberland. We had them do some work and lets just say I dont think they were drug free while working.

Thanks for the advice so far, keep them coming.
