    Help editing a MP3 file

    I'm sure this is probably easy and my brain has shut down for the night.....

    I need to crop out the first 40s of a mp3 file. I want to use the rest but not those first 40s. Anyone know an easy way to do this? I don't need to convert it or anything like that, just need the first 40s out and have a new file that has the rest of the song.

    I downloaded Wavepad Sound Editor a while ago to do the same thing. It is really easy to use.

    I found some freeware (on tucows I think) that allowed me to do this. Worked slick. You can get it here:

    yeah i think using protools for something like this would be overkill lol.

    but protools does rock, thats what we use for recording.

    Licenses? It's open-source. Unless you're using it to make software/products for resell, why would you need a license?
