Well when it comes down to it, if you've seen one episode of any sitcom, you've seen them all, really. I have never seen a full episode of Friends, but I bet I could tell you a few dozen storylines from the show over the years just by guessing.

Seinfeld was somewhat unique in that the two (or more) major story arcs inside every episode seemed to be impossibly divergent, but would come together at some point in the end.

I think you're fighting an uphill battle on this one. Seinfeld is one of the most universally acclaimed and popular sitcoms since MASH.

I think Lindsay Lohan's, Jessica Simpson's, Britney Spears', etc. etc. etc. bank accounts speak for themselves as well - and very few would argue the fact that their bank accounts got filled by putting crap out on a regular basis...

Then just say you don't think it's funny. But to say it's not a good show because it's the same every week is stupid, just like it'd be stupd for me to say I don't like Dilbert because they're in an office every week.

But did I state anything that wasn't true?

True and completely obvious. Everyone knows it's the same, all sitcoms are the same, it's not like they retool the show every week. By your logic there are no shows on TV that you like because they are all the same every week.

You will NOT like Curb Your Enthusiasm then

George was the best character on the show, IMO.
