First change I noticed vs Marty...

Matt actually challenges his caller's points. At least in the first 20 minutes.

Had a guy call in saying it was a Hawkeye state and Matt asked him how would that make fans that cheer for Drake and UNI feel. Interesting comeback.

Good to have Matt in Des Moines. Looking forward to him being "fair" about the rivalry between Iowa and Iowa State. I just don't think its possible --he will have to choose sides.

I always enjoyed Matt's show in his time at 590 and think he will do a great job in Des Moines. Hopefully, nobody paints him in the "Hawkeye" or "Cyclone" corner, truthfully it doesn't matter, as long as the show is entertaining, and along with Ken, I have no doubt it will be entertaining.

I am going to sure give him a fair chance. It's GREAT to have a guy that doesn't interrupt and yell at callers.

While generally true, some of the callers that I've heard need to be yelled at--or, at least hung up on. One "Hawkeye Fan" (his words) talked on and on about how great dirt track racing is and about how he could name some great ones.
