Wow, no one has thrown out the "Eh, just do it yourself"?
Des Moines Steel Fence......
We had Fence Contractors of Iowa put up a privacy fence for us. Not only were they alot cheaper than the bigger companies (DMSF and American) but they could come in almost right away and worked very quickly.
Not a fan of the vinyl fence, which is what our place has. Sure, it looks pretty good, if you ignore the parts that have broken off. I had to replace one whole section of the fence after it was ripped off earlier this spring in some high winds. I really don't think they can stand up to much force from any object.
Why is it I can remember a two-page thread about fences from over a year ago but I couldn't remember to include a pair of underwear in my last load of laundry?

I installed my chain link myself Just needed a post driver and a puller(not sure if this is what it is actually called) to stretch out the fence. Then some pliers to secure it.
But with the black coated chain link there might be a different way to do it not to damage the finish.
Chain link seems ghetto to me but that's just me. I'd rather go without.
If you go vinyl, consider Country Estate Fence.
Do not go with Metro Fence, I think that was their name. They misread the easy to spot property line markers. They cut one corner about 3 ft short of the other side and thus the fence was obviously way off and they decided to put a post right where my wifes rhubarb plant was. Then when we called them back out, the almost non english speaking work force lied to their boss right in front of me and said some things that just werent possible.
