Memorial Day is a wonderful tribute to those have served our nation!!!
Much less important and a side benefit of this holiday is that there are many war movies shown on a variety of networks. Got me to think...what one war film is my favorite?
I think I would have to say "The Big Red One"!
Absolutely love it! Who else watches war movies no matter how many times you might have seen it already? There are many great films about war...what is yours?

I've never seen the Big Red One but I heard it was good so I ordered it a few weeks back but haven't had time to see it. The one I bought was an extended version.

It is a film that fits the time in which it was made...not overly violent. Which is fine...while I appreciate the efforts to make war, in some films, as realistic as possible (bloody and gruesome...which war certainly can be)...a good war film does not have to be all blood and guts. The storyline in "The Big Red One" is a great story...hope you enjoy it.
