Re: Greatest Rock Song of All Time
The Beatles suck.
Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time.
Stairway to Heaven is the greatest song of all time.

Agree that Zep is the greatest ever.
Disagree that Stairway is the best song.
(It's not even the best song on that album)
Let's all show some respect for "When the Levee Breaks"

Let's all show some respect for "When the Levee Breaks" Well...let's be honest, Zep probably holds #2-#10 for greatest songs of all time too.

BTW, the Beatles don't suck, they just aren't a rock band, and what they play isn't really Rock music. Even among the British invasion bands, they are the least "Rock-like".
What they play is "pop", and shouldn't be confused with music that originates from the nether regions.
The Beatles are the greatest alternative band ever. They do not rock.
Spinal Tap rocks!

Do you have Sirius/XM radio? They have stations devoted to different artists. All Zepplin, all AC/DC, all Elvis, etc.
Where is the All Beatles station? I don't hate them. They have a place in history.

Re: Greatest Rock Song of All Time
Having grown up in the era, Beatles and Beach Boys music were considered to be "not rock" by most of my peers.
Rock had it's resurgence in the 1970s, more or less.
Frankly, you had to be there, or have studied the era to really "get it".
