Re: What's the best movie of the decade?
Wow, Dark Knight was good, but in my opinion, it's nowhere near the best movie of the decade. It was a summer blockbuster with a very good supporting actor. Dark Knight isn't even Christopher Nolan's best film. (Memento)
Here's a list of films from this decade that are better than Dark Knight. Not saying they are the best of the decade, just better than DK.
Memento
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Bourne Identity
Donnie Darko
V For Vendetta
No Country for Old Men
Michael Clayton
"What a horrible night to have a curse."
-Simon Belmont
"Please bury me with all my stuff, because you know it's mine..."
-Master Shake
"Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood." -

Braveheart ... was that within the last decade? Either way.
Zoolander - May this movie never die in a freak-gasoline-fight accident.

Michael Clayton The Royal Tanenbaums is crap.
Michael Clayton is a overhyped snoozefest too.
I'll give to the Bourne Identity - the whole trilogy is good, something that almost never happens.

His style may not be for everyone, but he excels at portraying interesting, but severely flawed protagonists. His films have a ton of character depth and subtlty. I guess if you walked into a film like Royal Tenenbaums expecting a laugh out loud riot, you would probably be disappointed. That is not what it was trying to be. Same thing goes for a film like Punch Drunk Love. So many people walked into that thinking, "Hey, it's an Adam Sandler flick, this will be just like The Waterboy" and as a result were really disappointed with what they got. Oh well, C'est la vie.

Crash was also really good.

Napoleon Dynamite.

Well you're right - I was disappointed with Punch Drunk Love too.
Who's this Wes Anderson? director I assume? I gotta learn to avoid his stuff.

The only Wes Anderson movie I really enjoyed was The Life Aquatic. The others were ok.
The Darjeeling Limited, about killed me. I had a hard time finishing it.
