We purchased a couch, loveseat and a hutch and had good success with the prices and the salespeople. I do know what you mean about vultures as you walk from section to section another one seems to pop out of nowhere and scare the crap outta ya but just tell them politely you are just browsing and you'll be fine.

Whenever we go there, we get the same salesperson and have never had a problem with stalkers. If they come up and ask we say we are already working with someone and their off to the next one. No biggie.
We bought living room furniture there last summer and when it arrived, one of the delivery guys noticed a tear where I never would have seen it. He had already called and let the store know and let me keep that recliner until a replacement arrived a month later.
When we first moved down here and didn't have a lot of cash, we needed to buy a couple dressers for two of our daughters and bought some Ashley cheaper dressers and one of them has turned out to be junk 4 yrs later but we could only afford the cheap stuff at the time so we got what we paid for. Sold them on a garage sale for $25 on the Waukee day garage sale.
