All the music threads got me thinking about music that can change my mood for the worse...not that I don't like/appreciate the song...but it is just too sad to think about! Anyone have a song that just puts a buzzkill on the moment? Bad memories...sad memories? Anything?
My nomination for the saddest song ever:
Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle"!
As soon as I hear that song on the radio I immediately change the station! Great song...but I don't need those thoughts running through my head all day...
Butterfly Kisses. Not because it is touching, emotional, or good in any way, but because it has more sap than a syrup factory.
Agree! That is why I separate that type of song from the Harry Chapin song..."Cats in the Cradle" is really a good song...but if I hear it and think about it...it can ruin my day! I want to turn the car toward my father's place immediately and spend the day with him (not that that is a bad thing)!
My 16 yr old niece past away 3 yrs ago this May after battling cancer for 2 years and this was the song they played at the funeral as we walked down aisle just before the service began. I love the song but I still can't listen to it with dry eyes yet.

As cliche as it sounds, thats dust in the wind for me. My uncle requested that to be the song we all listened to before the service started. I havent gotten through it yet since then.
